Undeterred by the declining market, she earned the Rookie of the Year award for the Keller Williams Southwest Region during her first year in business. Christie saw the need for REALTOR® expertise in short sale and foreclosure properties right away and began educating herself in that niche. She has become a specialist in negotiating “short sales” for sellers with negative equity and has vast knowledge and experience with regard to the effects a short sale has on a borrower’s credit, the possible tax consequences of a short sale and how to handle short sale negotiations when there are two loans on a property, including HELOCs (Home Equity Lines of Credit) or other non-purchase money loans. She has been negotiating short sales since 2006, and has the experience necessary to effectively market short sale properties ranging from truly "distressed" properties to Luxury Homes that simply have too much negative equity to sell via conventional methods. She markets all of her properties on more than fifty different real estate classified websites and utilizes her team of Buyer Specialists to guarantee that her listings are shown to every potential buyer and investor. The Arizona Lifestyle Team also has four full-time Buyer Specialists who work exclusively with home buyers ranging from first time buyers to move-up buyers as well as investors and purchasers of second homes. The Arizona Lifestyle Team Buyer Specialists are adept at negotiating the best possible prices for clients, even when the property is a short sale or a bank-owned foreclosure property (REO).
